The one-day INCREASE’s final workshop has been taken place on November 28, 2016 at Alliander’s Headquarter in Duiven, the Netherlands. This was a final event for project partners to exchange information and provide key selling results to wide a range of audiences.
The workshop gathered about 50 participants from different interested parties: DSOs, research institutes, solution providers, and manufacturers such as OMRON, Liander, DNV-GL, Smart State Technology, Elektro Gorenjska, Phase to Phase, Liandon Energie Consulting , Ghent University, Eandis, COGAS, University of Ljubljana and Eindhoven University of Technology.
In the morning, INCREASE project coordinator, Bart Meersman, started the workshop with an overview of the project to date. Each project partner had opportunity to present the significant outcomes from the project. Tomi Medved, a representative from University of Ljubljana and Anže Vilman from Elektro Gorenjska summarized the Slovenia field trial. After the break, the workshop was then followed by the presentation of Ruth Van Caenegem on Belgium field trial.
The audiences were also attracted by the five posters from presenters. These were extracted from the main results that partners have obtained so far but in a more eye-catching manner.
In the afternoon, Jan Bozelie, the representative from Alliander and Mansoor Viyathukattuva from University of Technology Eindhoven shared a very interesting story about the Dutch field trial at Holiday park, Bronsbergen. Although the technical issues have been solved but related to the weather limitation in the winter, given challenges still remain and some promising plan could be carried out next summer.
